Seeing a lack of quality catching instruction in the Lancaster area, Zaker began to focus as a dedicated catching instructor. Chris has worked one on one or in small groups with dozens of Central Ohio softball catchers from 9-16 years old and helped them develop their catching techniques since 2010.
INSTRUCTION PHILOSOPHY: “A good catcher can change the momentum of the game with one play. Good catchers absolutely can change a coach’s strategy. I focus a lot on subtle things; body angles, footwork, timing, body positions, etc. I teach the process. If you do the process correctly, the results will come. That is a promise I make to the kids. When my students complete a lesson or workout, they WILL be a better catcher.”
